In Indian Summer, the canvas pulses with the lingering heat of a late-season sun. Layers of radiant fuchsia and delicate petal pink merge with bursts of fiery orange and sun-drenched gold. This piece captures the essence of a season that refuses to fade, translating the hazy atmosphere of a golden afternoon into a tangible, textured landscape.

The application is unapologetically expressive—stippled textures and bold sweeps of colour create a sense of movement, as if the pigments are dancing in the heat. Speckles of gold catch the light like sunbeams through a canopy, adding a subtle, ethereal shimmer to the earthy energy of the piece. Indian Summer is a celebration of fleeting brilliance and the rich, saturated beauty of nature in transition.

Inspired by the unconventional warmth of a late-year heatwave, this work uses a combination of high-pigment acrylics and sea sponges/palette knives to build depth. The interplay of cool magentas against warm oranges creates a visual temperature that feels both nostalgic and energizing.

  • Craftsmanship & Materiality

This original work is created using layered acrylic forming a richly textured surface with subtle dimensional depth.

Each layer is built intentionally, allowing natural light to interact with the raised detailing throughout the day. The result is a quietly dynamic piece — refined, tactile, and entirely unique.

Painted on premium cotton canvas and stretched by hand, this format offers balanced symmetry while commanding presence within a space.

This is a one-of-a-kind original. No reproductions.

    Care

To preserve the integrity of the surface:

    • Dust gently with a soft, dry cloth

    • Avoid moisture and cleaning products

    • Display away from prolonged direct sunlight

    • Suitable for interior environments only

With considered care, this piece will retain its structural integrity and tonal depth for years to come.
